SAGIS (Savannah Area Geographic Information System) is focused on providing access to geospatial data in a standardized format to all interested parties. The SAGIS mission is to consolidate geospatial information into one central location, providing a one stop access to information.
SAGIS works with the City of Savannah, Chatham County, The Metropolitan Planning Commission and a variety of other non-profit and private organizations to maintain standards, manage data, educate and coordinate projects that affect the greater Savannah - Chatham County area.
Visit the SAGIS Open Data Site to discover and download all of the publicly available datasets at no cost. The site includes tools to search, view, map, chart and download GIS datasets for the Chatham County and City of Savannah region. Data is available in three formats: shapefile, spreadsheet, and KML. Note: We are currently working to update this page. The links download the most current data we have available, with the exception of the BOA Parcel digest. At present, metadata is not available.
Chatham County has eight districts (Overview 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8) and the City of Savannah has six districts (Overview 1 2 3 4 5 6). You can view them in printable pdf format from the preceding links, or interactively in the SAGIS map viewer.
SAGIS is governed by a board that consists of the City Manager of the City of Savannah, the County Manger of Chatham County, the Director of Georgia Tech - Savannah, and rotating seats that represent local engineers, citizens, and community businesses.
